Capenergies Competitiveness Cluster

who we are

Originally set up in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Corsica, the Capenergies competitiveness cluster now brings together more than 570 stakeholders from industry, research, finance and training in the PACA region, Corsica, Guadeloupe, Reunion Island and Monaco.

Capenergies focuses its activity in three strategic areas:

  1. The energy efficiency of buildings, industry and transport
  2. Island territories, peninsulas and energy supply to isolated areas
  3. Production of low-carbon energy

Right from the start Capenergies positioned itself to promote the development of energy systems to supply real solutions for the replacement of fossil fuel.

In line with this policy and its geographical positioning, the Capenergies strategy has been built around 7 main lines of action:

  • Development and promotion of innovation to improve the competitiveness of energy systems,
  • Design, assessment and use of integrated energy solutions in architecture,
  • Programmes to structure the development of national energy system channels,
  • Close partnerships with national and regional political stakeholders with respect to planning and desirability of regions,
  • Target international sales and scientific and technical partnerships with countries around the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean, the Caribbean and Central America.
  • Strong input into education and vocational training programmes to meet the needs of the emergence of these new technologies,
