Directorate General for Competitiveness, Industry and Services (DGCIS)

who we are

The Directorate General for Competitiveness, Industry and Services (DGCIS) was established in law on January 13th 2009.

The DGCIS organises FUI calls for R&D projects (in April and November) targeting collaborative projects certified by competitiveness clusters.

Since 2005, the FUI calls for proposals have allowed the DGCIS to support 1245 collaborative R&D projects for a total R&D spend of EUR 5.8 Bn, public sector financing of EUR 2.3 Bn, EUR 1.4 Bn of which came from the state. This spend resulted in the mobilisation of 15,000 researchers.

what we offer

The DGCIS opens calls for proposals in the areas of enterprise competitiveness, the digital economy and eco-industries.

The DGCIS manages the specific budget line for the French state's contribution to EUROGIA+ certified projects (EUREKA cluster for the development of low carbon technologies).
