Environment Park - Parco Scientifico Tecnologico per l'Ambiente

Environment Park was built under the initiative of Regione Piemonte, City of Turin and European Union, and represents the first Technological and Scientific Park dedicated to the environmental technologies. Environment Park aims to stimulate innovation by promoting initiatives that involve the Piedmont University, technology parks and innovation centers. Environment Park is organized in two business units:

• property management
• research and innovation

The research and innovation unit works on the concept of eco-efficiency, with a cross-sectional approach:

• Green building: aimed to support private organizations and institutions in eco-friendly architecture design;
• Integrated Environmental Projects: aimed to deliver innovative and eco-efficient solutions based on technology transfer, environmental analysis and innovative environmental management tools to the market;
• Energy: designed to offer services in the field of energy technologies through research management solutions, innovative technology and engineering, technical-economic feasibility studies and product testing.
• Plasma: focused on research and technology transfer in the treatment of surfaces with eco-efficient nano-technologies based on plasma. 

Environment Park promotes the development of the applied research and fosters the integration of the environmental development in the production and in the consumption process. To this aim the Environment Park developed a cluster dedicated to environmental development research, where research bodies can carry out their activities using facilities and services, and also to benefitting from networking activities. Finally, the Environment Park supports the creation of innovative start -up active in the fields of sustainable development offering technical, managerial and financial counseling.
