Friuli Venezia Giulia Region promotes research and technological innovation activities to foster the regional economic development and competitiveness with a specific unit named “Servizio sostegno e promozione comparto produttivo industriale”. 

Friuli Venezia Giulia Region fosters innovation and R&D among regional enterprises, research centres universities and citizens. In details, the “Servizio sostegno e promozione comparto produttivo industriale” unit funds different kinds of grants aimed to:

• implementation of R&D and innovations projects and innovation of processes and organization for industrial enterprises (on the basis of Regional Law 47/1978, capo VII);
• Commission of applied research studies to qualified laboratories on behalf of Industrial Smes (on the basis of Regional Law 47/1978, capo VII);
• If regional industrial Smes want to apply for state aid or for European funding opportunities, FVG Region can fund the implementation of feasibility studies and research projects.
• Patent application and patent right, brands and know how purchase when aimed to improve the production cycle;
