Regione Piemonte

Piedmont Region promotes innovation and R&D among regional enterprises, research centres and universities through a special unit named “RICERCA INNOVAZIONE E COMPETITIVITÀ”. Another unit named “SVILUPPO ENERGETICO SOSTENIBILE” focuses on regional energy system development.

“RICERCA INNOVAZIONE E COMPETITIVITÀ” unit supports:

• the creation of collaborative patterns and networks and among regional enterprises, research centres and other bodies in the field of innovation;
• the promotion of the regional research system;
• on the basis of the Regional Law 4/2006, the Region promotes the development of research and technology transfer among enterprises;
• the funding of research projects for regional enterprises,
• the development and promotion of technology platform and innovation poles for innovation;

“SVILUPPO ENERGETICO SOSTENIBILE” unit deals with the regional energy planning and with energy related laws, rules and incentives.

Moreover this unit promotes:

• the use of RES, Energy saving and efficiency measures in the regional territory;
• the development of supply chains that embed R&D, manufacturing and installation of RES systems or similar;
• the growth of existing energy related clusters in Piedmont Region ;
• research activities in the field of smart&clean technologies, as requested by Europe 2020 strategy;
