Unioncamere Piemonte

Unioncamere Piemonte is an association that represents the whole regional chamber system (Chambers of Commerce of Alessandria, Asti, Biella, Cuneo, Novara, Torino, Verbano Cusio Ossola e Vercelli) and aims to promote the regional economy and support its business development in negotiations at national and international level.

Unioncamere Piemonte coordinates the activities of 7 regional chambers of commerce with many initiatives and services:

• business activities/brokerage
• funding support at national/European level
• support to technological innovation and research
• internationalization
• female and young entrepreneurship promotion
• training initiatives
• drafting studies and reasearches on regional economic and industrial trends

Unioncamere Piemonte established a dedicated“Unit for Innovation and technology transfer” (Ufficio Innovazione e Trasferimento Tecnologico di Unioncamere Piemonte) that promotes innovation and technology transfer among regional enterprises, research centres and universities. More in details this “Unit for Innovation and technology transfer”provides:

• creation of “regional thematic groups” (with enterprises, research centres and universities) dedicated to typical regional sulpply chains;
• joint promotional activities planning;
• promotion of interchanges between the regional innovation system and the international technology centres (i.e. with the European Technology Market);
• creation of partnership for the regional  research system at national or international level;
• organization of thematic seminars on particular technologies or on innovation funding opportunities;
• organization of “one to one meetings” among local SMEs, large enterprises, universities and research centres (also at European level);
• organization of “incoming visits” for international entrepreneurs interested in some specific regional innovative enterprises;
• organization of “outgoing visits” to leading edge international innovative entrepreneurs.
